Rockin’ and Rollin’ on the River: Online Concert with Stark Parks (Thursday, September 10)

Friends of Stark Parks invites you to sit back and listen to the music. Enjoy music from Nick Bonner and Jeff Poulos while they transport you down the river without leaving your home. Snack on artisan cheeses and charcuterie from Fromage du Monde and unique wines/beers from The Barrel Room Wine and Beer Bar. The evening will support Stark Parks Water Trail project.

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Towpath 50 (Sunday, September 20)

The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition is proud to present the annual Cleveland Clinic Akron General Towpath 50!

Participants will ride 50 miles on the Towpath Trail, raising or donating a minimum of $50 in pledges. Proceeds will benefit the continued development, maintenance and activation of the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area, Towpath Trail and connector trails.

The bicycle ride includes SAG-support, healthy water stops, and a boxed lunch to go at the end of your ride. The ride begins and ends in Lock 3 in Akron; with a turnaround at Crystal Springs Trailhead. Additional safety precautions will be implemented this year for the health and safety of our riders, volunteers, and staff. Learn more.

Rides are mapped for ALL skill levels, from beginners and families hitting the Towpath Trail for the first time to experienced cyclists hungry to explore.
