Cuyahoga Valley National Park

• February 20, 2025: Cuyahoga Valley National Park will temporarily close the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail between Red Lock Trailhead and Brandywine Creek starting Monday, March 3 to Friday, May 2, 2025. The park will be installing a new culvert for Brandywine Creek. The trail will remain closed and will not reopen on weekends for safety. No detour available.

• Beginning April 8, 2025: The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail between W. Exchange Street and W. Cedar Street will be closed after 1:00 p.m. on Akron RubberDucks home games due to firework preparation for the duration of the 2025 season. 
• January 27, 2025: A section of the Towpath Trail between the Magic Mile Trailhead (at Robinson Avenue) and Wolf Creek Trailhead (at Snyder Avenue) is closed for construction.
• December 11, 2024: The restrooms at Snyder Road Trailhead are closed for the season.

• April 6, 2025: Localized flooding - Typical low-lying areas like underneath Lake Ave. in Massillon and north of Lake Lucerne Trailhead near the Summit County Line have standing water over the trail. Wooster St. and areas around Craig Pittman Trailhead in Navarre are also under water. Please follow all closure signs and do not cross gates or cables at trailheads.
