Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

All aboard! Grab the whole family and enjoy The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Perfect for families with kiddos both young and old, Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad offers excursions year-round. The train travels north-south through Cuyahoga Valley National Park, between Independence and Akron. There are three main boarding stations — Rockside Station, Peninsula Depot and Akron Northside Station. There are also additional stops for Bike Aboard passengers. With a variety of excursions at different price points, you’re sure to find your adventure and enjoy the beauty of the parks from the comfort of their train cars. Voted one of Northeast Ohio’s top 100 destinations is Szalay’s Farm Market. The market is an old-fashioned farm that offers fresh fruits and vegetables and local homemade goodies! Great for children of all ages (and the young at heart) Szalay’s in the autumn is a great weekend destination - with a fun and challenging corn maze, pumpkins and gourds, apples and cider, you will definitely want to bring your camera!

Towpath Trek Walking Program 

Fall is one of the best times to explore nature and enjoy the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and all its Autumn wonder! Hike or bike four sections of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail during the Goodyear Towpath Trek to receive your commemorative pin. Those that love nature can also view leaves on the Towpath!  Check out the recommended sections, which are suitable for families with children of all ages (younger kiddos may want to enjoy the trek from the comfort of their stroller) or choose four of your own!
