St. Helena III Canal Boat Season Opens May 8th

Saturday, May 8, 2010 is opening day for public rides for the St. Helena III Canal Boat 2010 season in Canal Fulton, Ohio.
- Public rides are offered at 1 pm and 2:30 pm and will continue on Saturdays and Sundays during May.
- June 5, 2010 is the Pancake Breakfast by the Boat event and the start of the summer boat season when public rides will run Tuesdays through Sundays at 1 pm and 2:30 pm.
- Ticket prices are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors 60 yrs and older, $5 for children 5-12 yrs old, and free for those 4 yrs old & under.

The Canal Fulton Heritage Society and the City of Canal Fulton are partnering to keep the historic attraction running. Dan and Prince are returning as the work horses pulling the replica canal boat down the one-mile section of the historic Ohio & Erie Canal.
Boat rides depart from the dock in St. Helena Heritage Park along side the Canal Fulton Canalway Center at 125 Tuscarawas St. The Canal Fulton Heritage Society Museum, also in the park, will be open during the boat season weekends 12 noon to 4 pm.
