Along the Cleveland-Akron run of the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, you can bike one way on the Towpath Trail and ride the scenic rail back for just $5! It's a great way to explore the National Park.
There are so many activities to do, and the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and the Cuyahoga River conveniently runs parallel to the train tracks.
Whether you’re biking, running, or hiking through the park, you can take advantage of the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad's Explorer Program and board the train at Akron Northside or Peninsula stations throughout the day (with a friend or your bike) and ride one-way for a $5 fee and take the Towpath Trail back!
Do you frequently run, hike, bike or kayak the Cuyahoga Valley National Park? Consider purchasing a seasonal Explorer Pass! An Explorer Pass is $60 per person and is good for the 2024 Explorer season (May – October).
Make sure to become acquainted with Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad's Visitor Safety and Explorer Program policies before planning your excursion!
