Each of the county park districts, along with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, posts temporary Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail closures and construction project updates on their individual websites. Heavy rains also can cause flooding and temporary closures.
Safety Tip - Treated boards along the Towpath Trail can become slippery when wet — be aware after rain and when dew is present.
