The Matching Grants Program awards grants annually, with the application process beginning June 1st and funding awarded in February of the following year.

Eligible applicants include State of Ohio political subdivisions, nonprofit organizations, and other persons for projects that fall within the boundaries of the Ohio & Erie National Heritage Canalway, including Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark, and Tuscarawas Counties in the State of Ohio.

Organizations must meet eligibility requirements and submit a Letter of Inquiry by June 1st as outlined in the Program Overview and Requirements.  If selected, organizations will be asked to attend a mandatory orientation session in July and complete a full grant application before Friday, September 3, 2010.
