Sit back, relax and enjoy a train ride to many exciting round trip destinations!  The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad offers unique adventures through the Ohio & Erie Canalway. Visitors will experience riding on one of the oldest, longest and most scenic excursion railways in the United States. The railroad operates on the route of the historic Valley Railway, opened in 1880 to transport coal from central Ohio to industries in Akron and Cleveland. Visitors ride comfortably in vintage climate-controlled coaches built in the 1940s and 50s and enjoy an unforgettable journey through the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Ohio & Erie Canalway between Independence and Canton.

Visitors can choose from a variety of excursions and special events available throughout the year. Spend a little or a lot of time exploring the things you like to see and do. Sit back, relax and enjoy a train ride to many exciting destinations including: the Village of Peninsula, Hale Farm & Village, National Inventor's Hall of Fame, Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, Akron Zoo, Canal Visitor Center, Canton attractions and more. In Cuyahoga Valley National Park, you can take an one-way bicycle trip on the Towpath Trail combined with a return trip on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
